Daughter of Candid Camera's Allen Funt finds new use of cameras for Online Daters

Company provides photo-makeovers for online daters, improving thier odds and lifting thier hopes. Co-owner couple met on Matchmaker.com and then turned thier engagement into a business.

When Juliet and Lorne met on-line two years, they had little idea their romance and subsequent engagement would birth a business. But as their friends played the online dating game, they couldn't help but notice the low-caliber photos that people were using to catch the eye of the love of their life.

And thus Soulmatepics.com was born.

Lorne Resnick, our Los Angeles lead photographer, and Juliet Funt (yes-the daughter of Candid Camera fame Allen Funt), met on Matchmaker.com two years ago and will be married in August of 2004. Lorne striking portraits, stock and fine art images have have been used commercially for annual reports, billboards, television, web sites and worldwide advertising campaigns. Juliet runs her own corporate training and consulting business, Talking on Purpose, Inc., and is, as many mouths will testify, one heck of a muffin maker.

Their company, in 15 cities nationwide and three international by Christmas, provides low-cost, high-end photos, to on-line daters.
