XAdvance Launches Web Design Services
Company begins offering extensible designs to small business owners
XAdvance Web Technologies announced today the launch of its Web design and development services. The Ottawa-based company will begin by offering site design packages to small businesses that have little or no web presence.
XAdvance's services focus on the development of the Web, rather than the "clumsy" design practices that are being built. "We have come to a point where understanding of these standards is just picking up in the web development community," said Colin Temple, CEO and President of XAdvance. "One of our goals is to help business owners understand the purpose of their own Web sites, and how these standards can help them achieve their goals from a purely business perspective."
XAdvance designs its sites using the latest supported standards in design, such as XHTML and CSS to ensure a greater reach for businesses. "Web design used to be a fairly simple task--anyone with a basic knowledge of the Internet could get a Web site online if they wanted to," Temple continued, "With the development of newer technologies, such as screen readers and web-enabled cell phones or PDAs, we have a larger audience to cater to. Businesses need Web designers who understand how these technologies interact with Web pages, and how to design flexible sites without spending extra time or money."
