Canadian Automobile Sports Club-Ontario Regional Racing- Formula F1rst Championship
Ajax woman makes outstanding debut
First year racer Kelly MacPhaden who only started to race open wheels this year, has accomplished her goal in obtaining rookie of the year.
Kelly was only the female lead the Formula F1st series until she encountered numerous mechanical problems that set her back in the points.
MacPhaden acheived a 2nd place finish in the Formuala F1rst championship, and 3rd place in the Canadian Automobile Sports Clubs championship.
"I am very pleased with how well I did this year. It was frustrating with the number of problems we had with our engine. It seemed that we would solve the problem then find a new one. I am still happy with how I performed on the track. I am looking forward to racing next year. I would like to thank all my sponsors for their support."
