Thank Out-of-Town Wedding Guests with a Gift Basket

To ease the pain, some wedding couples go out of their way to make the journey worth the effort for their wedding guests that travel from afar. The Gifted Ones, an upscale gift basket store in New York, specializes in creating custom gift baskets that will send a personalized and tasteful thank you to wedding guests.

We've all been there - giving up a weekend to travel to a wedding of a cousin or old college chum. We spend half the weekend traveling and checking in and out of a hotel...and hardly anytime with the actual bride and groom.

To ease the pain, some wedding couples go out of their way to make the journey worth the effort for their wedding guests that travel from afar. Some plan weekend festivities, host hospitality suites, and often provide Gift baskets or bags full of goodies for the hotel room.

The Gifted Ones, a gift basket store in New York, specializes in creating custom gift baskets that will send a personalized and tasteful thank you to your guests - and provide plenty to nibble on back in the hotel room.

Says Charlie Susi, a partner at The Gifted Ones, "We try to provide both sweets and savory items to accommodate different tastes - such as selections from family-owned chocolatiers and packaging as exquisite as the treats contained inside". The themes at feature a range you'd expect from a little place in the Village: from picnic baskets to luxury spa packages to pink flamingos. "We also try to incorporate more personal items such as photos of the bride and groom or a keepsake engraved with the wedding date" adds Susi.

And it's always to acknowledge the sacrifice your guests have made. David Titus, another partner at The Gifted Ones, remembered the item he created for a couple who were to be married on a Memorial Day weekend and had many out of town guests. They requested he include a note. It read: ''Sorry you had to give up your weekend, but thanks for being with us.''
