Eugenia

Rock with finesse

This singer/songwriter/guitar- banjo player is doing what she does best creating a sound", and with her talented band to back her up there is no telling where she is headed.
Eugenias musical career started at the early age of 5 in Cleveland Ohio, singing in talent shows and performing for friends and family every chance she could. She taught herself how to play guitar so she could be part of the guitar group at her grade school church. She thought playing at the mass would be more fun than just attending the service (bad Catholic school girl). After high school Eugenia went to Cleveland State University for music performance, it only took her 2 years to realize that playing her own music was to be her passion so she left college and started a rock band called the Bimbos ( a3 piece female act with a lot of attitude). After playing in various bands and being a solo performer at many of Clevelands music venues and coffee houses it was time for a move and the west coast was calling. Eugenia moved herself out to Arizona and put the right people together to take her music to the next level......

Meet Her Band:
                                         Eugenia -- Vocals/Guitar/Banjo
                                         Joseph Harris -- Drums/B. Vocals
                                         Ryan Ritter -- Guitar/Harmony
                                         Brian Krohl -- Bass
                                         Jessica Jackson -- Violin

Eugenia has shared the stage with many great performers including:
Sophie B. Hawkins, Leonna Neass, Michelle Malone, Tina Yothers, SoulCracker and Stevie Nicks. Some of her other credits include; tracks on 7 different compilation cds throughout the states (3 from commercial Radio Stations), having her songs played on both the Edge and the Zone radio stations in Phoenix and she was nominated for Arizonas 2001 best female vocalist category and the listeners choice category directed by the Blaze radio station and the AIM Awards.
Eugenia and her band are currently in the studio recording new material for another release, Her first cd A Womans Place" can be purchased at any Zia record store location, hollywoodmusic.com any of the shows and on her web page: mp3.com/eugenia
Eugenias music has been described as rock with finesse" her lyrics invite you into her backyard as if you were part of the story. This girls got something to say and with her band helping to turn up the volume you have no choices but to listen!!!!

Breech

Emotionally-charged, melodic and intelligent, Breech uses dynamics and artful experimentation to successfully merge the viscerally intense rock of PJ Harvey with Tom Waits-like cabaret underpinnings.

BIO:
Breech evokes a stark purity, an exploration of both rock and roll's darker soul and delicate pleasures. The style is visual, dynamic, and yet at times vulnerable. Thom Jurek of Detroit's Metro Times and contributor to Rolling Stone writes, "Breech's songs reveal the beauty in human flaws, the subtleties of passion, and the dynamics of anger, ... challenging our notion of what rock and roll is... They are raw, gutsy, frail, tainted with the stain of life and to the bone."

Breech embodies the musical vision of singer/songwriter Missy Gibson. Originally from Detroit, Missy made her way to Los Angeles in the summer of 1996. In collaboration with other musicians, including Joe McAlevey on accordion/keys, Mike Flanagan on guitar/clarinet, Ian Barstowe on bass, and Dan Hughes on drums, Breech has established itself as one of L.A.'s most compelling, up and coming acts.

Gibson's intensity and ability to connect with her audience have established her as one of the most passionate new voices out there. Option magazine writes, "Missy has a throaty, full voice which delivers poignant stories of innocence lost, and of confusion, hope and redemption." Her performances back in Detroit earned her the Metro Times notice as "the best unsigned singer/songwriter in the country." Gibson has also earned the Metro Times/Detroit Monthly annual Music Awards for Best Vocalist, Best Songwriter, and Artist Deserving Wider Recognition. Breech was chosen as one of L.A.'s Top Unsigned Bands by Music Connection magazine.

"Spare me your indecision/ I am not a flower nor a kitten/ Foul mouthed, a crass lass/ I was the first to kick dirt, spit milk back into my glass/ I'm not a willow but a switch/ I'm always hurtin' the ones who I love best." ("Curtains")

Breech's songs attempt to connect rock and roll's fragile and violent extremes. Gibson's reputation for passion and direct, in-your-face expression drives its live performances, not only filling the space, but destroying the barrier between audience and performer. As Chris Dickinson from The Chicago Reader puts it, "Watching Gibson on stage is a lot like watching James Cagney in the last minutes of WhiteHeat. She leans into the crowd. She threatens and pouts... She mans her stage the way Cagney manned his burning tower. But this isn't an angry confrontation. It's just a singer in the throes of a song, albeit one who's acutely aware of the moment and the audience. In simpler terms it's what used to be called 'star quality.'"

Within a year of moving to L.A., Gibson signed a publishing deal with EMI Music Publishing and in 1999 released a self-titled Breech EP produced by Matt Thorne (the Eels, Plastilina Mosh, Skeleton Key), followed in 2000 by a cd single ("Junk"). The full-length cd APRON STRINGS (2002) recently won DIY Album of the Year. As a seasoned L.A. band, Breech has a large following and continues to perform at a variety of venues on a regular basis. They have opened for, among others, Weezer, White Stripes, Liz Phair, Jeff Buckley, Tracy Bonham, The Spinanes, Graham Parker, and Royal Trux. Breech's past accomplishments also include appearing twice on Ed McMahon's "Next Big Star", and having a song featured in recent episodes of "Dawsons Creek" and "Black Sash".

Che Zuro

"...evoking Led Zep's acoustic side, but with a beguiling twist of femme-pop."
-Falling James, LA Weekly, Los Angeles, California

Tina Angotti

Her listeners are knocked out" by her mesmerizing" uncluttered" sound and delight in the natural intensity and strength" of both her lyrics and vocals---edge without anger."

BIO:
Artistically influenced by an eclectic mix of music rooted in Rock, R&B and Folk, singer/songwriter Tina Angotti is clearly her own woman. Her successful debut CD entitled Mirror is a melodically intricate and vocally startling reflection of the movements and moments of her own life.

Tina Angottis musical journey began in her hometown of Chicago where she shaped her talents opening for her brother, Phil Angotti and his band, The Idea. Tina soon found herself quite at home as a critically acclaimed soloist. Inspired to bring her music west, Tina moved to Phoenix, Arizona and became an immediate fixture on the local music scene. Sought out by impassioned fans, Tina quickly developed a loyal following. Performing almost nonstop, she took time out in 2001 to return to Chicago where she recorded and self-produced her debut CD, Mirror.

While most of the tracks are recorded with a live solo feel, when Tina rocks -- it rolls. Described by a fan as "edge without anger," Tina Angottis debut CD has also been called "uncluttered," "compelling," "powerful," inspirational," and a "MUST HAVE for anyones CD collection." In addition to strong sales, Mirror enjoys national and international airplay; its downloads continue to climb the charts at Amazon.com. Featured on radio programs across the country, select tracks off Tina Angotti's debut effort have been included in a variety of compilation CDs.

Besides winning many awards, including "Best Solo Female Artist," Tina has appeared on television and radio, performed at Madison Square Garden, and recently shared the stage with Julia Fordham.
Perhaps the most compelling reason for Tinas success is the astounding strength and range of her pure voice, intimate and familiar to the ear but different from all the rest...
