LANHAM, MD QSS Group, Inc. announced today the award of a Centers for Disease Control contract for Microcomputer Support Services (MSS).

LANHAM, MD QSS Group, Inc. announced today the award of a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Agency for Toxic Substance and Disease Registry (ATSDR) contract for Microcomputer Support Services (MSS).

Under this contract, valued at $79 million over five years, QSS will provide microcomputer technology and services both nationally and internationally - which includes local and wide area network administration, desktop management, help desk operations, hardware repair and maintenance, and software support. The MSS contract was awarded under the COMMerce Information Technology Solutions (COMMITS) GWAC.

QSS, a leading IT services provider on large, federal agency-side projects, is honored to have been chosen by the CDC, whose mission is critical to the health and quality of life of the people of the United States and globally through international efforts. ¡§QSS is firmly committed to working with the CDC to provide information technology and services that are essential to the incomparable, vital work of the agency¡¨, said Frank Islam QSS CEO. To complement its capabilities and resources, QSS chose Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), a world leader in IT systems and services, as its subcontractor. Stephen A. Kalish, President of CSC's Federal Sector Civil Group, added that, CSC is committed to supporting QSS leadership in making this program an unquestionable success. The MSS contract win gives QSS the opportunity to leverage its experience in successfully managing and executing large IT enterprise services contracts for a new cabinet-level agency, the Department of Health and Human Services and establishes a new geographic region.
