Boston, Ma. Boston Area Law Schools invite Internationally Certified Boston Image Consultant to help their students learn how to use their Image to get Leading Edge in Todays Competitive Market

Harvard Law and Suffolk Law School, 9/2003 Boston, Mass: Emerging legal experts are all eyes and ears at recent seminar/lecture series geared towards maximizing image presence in interview settings.

Boston, Mass (PRWEB) October 24, 2003 -- Emerging legal experts are all eyes and ears at recent seminar/lecture series geared towards maximizing image presence in interview settings.

September is an exciting month to be in the Boston-area. As thousands of young women and men swarm to Beantown to attend some of Americas most reputable higher-learning institutions, the sleepy summer city is instantly transformed into vibrant kettle of intellectual capital and international flavor. While many were busy settling in to their academic schedules, buying books and rekindling friendships, ardent law students at Suffolk University and Harvard School of Law were eager to spend a few valuable hours to learn to best present themselves to prospective employers.

Emerging job seekers face a daunting challenge in todays market. Candidates must successfully distinguish themselves amongst a very large pool of competitive candidates for coveted positions. They need to dress to be hired," learn the value of their own brand, and package it well, so that they can be discerned as The Hirable Candidate. Evangelia D. Souris, president of OPTIMUM International Center for Image Management, is the expert to teach them how. These seminars are invaluable for those who know that todays job market is extremely tough, and to successfully penetrate it, one can not just rely on education and experience," said Sours. It is essential to present an image that will distinguish one as the Best of Breed, in character, appearance and mannerisms." Evidently, the students agreed.

At Harvard Law School, there was a full house. Marjorie E. Boone, Esquire, Assistant Director for J.D. Advising Office of Career Services of Harvard Law School stated that she had seen nothing like it. Their lecture hall seats 130 people, and there was standing room only.

What did students learn? Proven image communication strategies and techniques to achieve hiring objectives.

In todays job marketplace, success often depends upon a persons ability to rank the highest in every category of the job requirement list -- including image. According to research studies, people who upgrade a mediocre presence to a more polished one receive a higher salary-15-20%. The Harvard Business School Club advises its members that interviewers generally decide whom they wont hire within 7 seconds; discrimination based on appearance is pervasive in the workplace, and many mangers will not hire someone based on appearance. To this, Souris added, While dressing for success may make a positive, initial impression, its the lasting impression that counts. A lasting impression is comprised of verbal and nonverbal communication, dress and etiquette. Building confidence in ones appearance can free up job seekers to concentrate on these other critical areas during an interview."

The seminars/lectures were facilitated by OPTIMUM International Center for Image President and Founder, Evangelia D. Souris, author of twelve seminars on the application of image strategies in developing optimal personal, professional and organizational presence. She is a Certified International Image Consultant to numerous clients both in the US and abroad.
