In addition, Carbon announced it has opened up a West Coast sales and support office centered in Mountain View, CA. The rapid expansion matches the pace of increasing sales activities and product deployment, after concluding a successful beta period.

In addition, Carbon announced it has opened up a West Coast sales and support office centered in Mountain View, CA. The rapid expansion matches the pace of increasing sales activities and product deployment, after concluding a successful beta period.

Carbons corporate headquarters, located in Totten Pond Office Park, will enable Carbon to increase headcount to 25 by the end of 2003. Carbon is currently hiring for positions in engineering, applications and sales. Considering that our first revenue is 6 months ahead of plan, increasing our headcount and expanding our space was the only prudent move to make," noted Steve Butler, president and chief executive officer of Carbon.

Chow has more than 20 years of EDA industry experience with increasing responsibilities and accomplishments in sales. Chow has a BS degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UC Berkeley. Most recently, he held the position of director of western area sales at eSilicon, where he generated 50% of their revenue during his tenure. In addition, he held similar sales positions at Verisity and Quickturn Design Systems. At Quickturn, Chow was the top western region sales person for two consecutive years.
