New Digital Stationery Manager From Printing and Scanning Solutions
Printing and Scanning Solutions (PASS) has launched a new digital stationery manager that offers a complete solution for viewing, printing, faxing and emailing corporate documents utilising the power of MS Office and TrueType font technology.
Windows Stationery Manager controls production of corporate documents via a powerful but simple to use MS Word toolbar utility, ensuring that all outbound documents meet specified corporate design guidelines. The fully modular system enables users to store as many documents or components as necessary and provides significant cost savings by removing the need to purchase, store and administer expensive pre-printed stationery.
Corporate documents are produced and controlled from standard MS Office applications and utilise the power of TrueType font technology to eliminate the need for memory-hungry graphic elements such as logos and signatures. The use of TrueType components rather than graphics frees up PC memory, reduces network traffic, increases document printing speeds and greatly improves presentation.
With Windows Stationery Manager, logos, signatures, accreditation symbols, letterheads, invoices, despatch notes, fax headers, compliments slips, brochures and business cards can all be printed in-house at significantly lower cost compared with using external resources. The program includes a useful admin feature that makes it easy to control and update documents and components, saving wastage when company details change. This feature can be enabled on each PC or locked and controlled by an administrator as necessary.
Compatible with MS Office 2000 upwards, Windows Stationery Manager enables printing of documents on any Windows compatible printer in colour or mono. The simple toolbar operation ensures that little or no training is required for users and TrueType logos, symbols and signatures can also be used in any other Windows applications that support TrueType fonts. Corporate designs can also be included in email documents by creating templates in MS Outlook and Outlook Express where the use of TrueType fonts minimises document sizes.
