BIZIBODY DOMINATES CCH LEGAL TECHNOLOGY AWARDS IN SINGAPORE

Bizibody Technology, a technology company that specializes in implementing and developing law firm and court applications, dominated the Best Implementer category at the CCH Legal Technology Awards.

The CCH Legal Technology Awards Singapore is the first of its kind for the legal community in Singapore. Organised by CCH Asia and the Law Society of Singapore, the CCH Legal Technology Awards honour outstanding firms or in-house legal departments for their adoption of technology.

There were altogether 8 law firms that submitted an application for the Best Implementer Award. This category honours legal firms or in-house counsels that have adopted and applied the use of a third party technology in a most cost-efficient, practical and innovative method.

One thing that 5 of the 8 law firms had in common was that they had all worked with Bizibody Technology to implement their respective legal technology solutions.

The solutions implemented by Bizibody in the 5 contesting firms span a wide range of software applications. They include integrated Practice and Case Management Systems (Open Practice), Legal Accounting Systems (Law Ledger), Document Management Systems (Worldox) and Automated Document Assembly Systems (Lawdocs). The various solutions are developed and/or distributed by Bizibody's Australian partner, Midware Solutions, a leading supplier of collaboration, workflow and practice management software.

Of the 5, Alban Tay Mahtani & deSilva and Guofu, Advocates and Solicitors were shortlisted for the Best Implementer Award. ATMD for their implementation of Open Practice, and Guofu for their implementation of Open Practice, Worldox and Lawdocs.

At the Law Society Dinner and Dance held on 18 October 2003, Guofu was awarded first place in the Best Implementer category.
