Bernie Kopell joins Don Adams & Barbara Feldon in a Gala Get Smart Reunion
Bernie Kopell will be joining Don Adams and Barbara Feldon and over 20 other members of the cast and crew of Get Smart for a gala reunion dinner and tribute on November 7, 2003 at Barsac Brasserie in North Hollywood.
A landmark fight between the forces of good and evil will be put on hold for one night as top KAOS Agent Conrad Siegfried (Bernie Kopell) joins top CONTROL Agents Maxwell Smart (Don Adams) and 99 (Barbara Feldon) for a gala reunion dinner for Get Smart on November 7, 2003 at Barsac Brasserie. CONTROL and KAOS battled each other for world supremacy during the five years of Get Smart, which twice won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series.
The Get Smart Gathering will reunite over twenty of the shows cast and crew, along with a limited number of fans. This is the first time that many of the cast and crew have gotten together since the show ended in 1970," said event organizer Carl Birkmeyer, and it lets them relive old memories and create new ones as theyre honored for the lasting impact the show has had on so many peoples lives."
Its a tribute to the quality of the show and the people involved to see such a spectacular response to the reunion dinner," added Birkmeyer. Among the many award-winners attending the evening are Emmy winners Adams, Jay Sandrich, Leonard Stern, Bruce Bilson, and John Flinn. In addition, cast members Kopell, Dave Ketchum, and William Schallert are expected, along with Reza Badiyi, Gary Nelson, Dan Melnick, Gerald Gardner and Whitey Mitchell.
The event begins with a cocktail reception at Barsac Brasserie at 5:30 PM and features a sit-down dinner, photo session, and question and answer session. Tickets are $125 and only available online at www.WouldYouBelieve.com. Barsac is located in North Hollywood at 4212 Lankershim Boulevard. Tickets will not be sold at the door.
A portion of the nights proceeds will be donated to the American Heart Association in the memory of Edward Platt. Platt, who played The Chief" in the show, passed away in 1974 of a heart attack. His widow and children are also expected to attend The Get Smart Gathering.
