Prim8 Fund and IDA-Africa Host an Artist Coalition Brunch

Leading environmental groups collaborate to bring awareness to the LA community

Prim8 Fund on behalf of IDA-Africa will be hosting a special brunch on Sunday, November 16, 2003. The purpose of this Brunch is for actors, artist, musicians and all the neighboring communities to come together and join hearts and minds to discuss how we can fundraise in support of theprotection of the African great apes, rainforests and indigenous people.

Presentations regarding the current state of the African rain forests and the bushmeat crisis will be presented by both Abhi Ahmadadeen of the Prim8 Fund and Edmund Stone of IDA-Africa.

In Defense of Animals (IDA- Africa), is a non-profit organization dedicated to ending the exploitation and abuse of animals by defending their rights, welfare and habitat. IDA-Africa is both a project of In Defense of Animals and a non-governmental organization located in the Republic of Cameroon. Its mission is to provide a sanctuary in a natural environment for captive chimpanzees in Cameroon and to wage a conservation campaign aimed at saving the country's remaining wild chimpanzees.

David Lichten, a world class virtuoso concert guitarist and Antonio Flores, a brilliant multi-talented musician will play the music of PRIM8 Evolution. This music captures the heart-breaking reality of our present plight, the plight of the great apes and humans in a world where the separation of situation is impossible.

Lichten has appeared throughout the world as a recitalist, specializing in Flamenco Concertante, Classical Latin, and Gypsy Jazz guitar. This synergetic style of music is now merging with some of the most powerful blends of trance-world sound. This style and these sounds make PRIM8 Evolution a masterpiece, one destined to be a classic.

Concert pianist Darin Isaacs will also be on hand playing exclusive pieces from his upcoming album release.
