New Survey Concludes Over Half of Businesses Prefer Online Search Engines

Results from a new survey by the Premium Rankings Corporation concludes that 65% of businesses turn first to online search engines to find a business telephone number. The Premium Rankings Corporation, an Internet marketing service that specializes in Search Engine Optimization, polled 100 different companies and found that online search engines are, by far, the leading resource for business information. The runners-up are the Yellow/White Pages with a 23% popularity vote and 411 with a 12% popularity vote.

The businesses surveyed consisted of professional organizations, including law firms, technology firms, mortgage and real estate brokers, financial firms, telecom companies, and Web site design firms. Employees of various positions were surveyed, half of which were of senior management level.
