The 2003 Emerging Information Technology Conference (EITC) will be held on October 31 - November 1 at Friend Center, Princeton University, Princeton, New Jersey. The EITC is held once a year to facilitate information exchange among professionals from the Pacific Rim and North America on emerging information technologies including nanotechnology, microelectromechanical systems (MEMS), system-on-chip (SoC), bioinformatics, and content, computer, communications, consumer electronics, and integration (C4I).

"Let me extend a special welcome to all of you from Pacific Rim nations who have so much to share with us on the North American continent. The joint explorations of EITC set the pace for further mutual exchange, expanding trade, and ever-widening economic prosperity for our respective countries." Mayor Reed said in his letter to the conference.
Mayor Marchand said, "I applaud the objectives of the EITC. Bringing together experts and industry leaders to share technological advancements and business experiences, strengthening the technical and business ties between the Pacific Rim and North American IT industries."
Mayor Hsueh wrote in his welcome letter, "Our area is host to a wide variety of cultural distinctiveness and we are pleased to welcome all of you who have traveled near and far from the multifarious nations and regions. It is our wish that the conference will provide alliances and associations that will benefit you now and in the years to come."
