Stratford, CT (PRWEB) October 27 2003--Developing Hearts Systems, the non-profit educational publisher, is seeking stories from parents about how they communicated with their baby in the womb. One hundred twenty-five winners can receive up to a $500 cash prize, a set of baby books and get their stories published in a new book: Promises to My Unborn Child." The contest begins Nov. 1 and ends Dec. 31, 2003, so parents should submit their entries soon on www.bondingwithbaby.org or on www.pregnancy.org.

Many expectant parents not only talk to their babies before birth, but some moms know their baby hears them, understands and often responds with a kick of excitement. If youd like to share with other moms your first "conversations" with your baby, Developing Hearts wants to hear your story. The new book is based on both scientific research --which shows that mothers-to-be can stimulate healthy brain development in utero, and on the extraordinary, but everyday experiences that many mothers have had communicating with their unborn child. We want more parents to know," says Tom Berquist, Executive Director of Developing Hearts, how connecting with baby in utero can give them greater strength and joy and give baby an early start."

The new book, which also features proven prenatal parenting techniques, will be distributed to thousands of expectant moms through a national network of health care providers. The idea behind the book is to encourage first-time mothers to begin nurturing and bonding with their baby before birth. The new book will be the first prenatal title in Developing Hearts current award-winning series of Bonding with Baby® Developmental Books for the first twelve months.

In addition to cash prizes, the top 125 entries, selected by a panel of judges, will receive a set of the Bonding with Baby books. The top 25 entries will have their stories published in the book together with a family picture. More details, rules and entry forms can be found on www.bondingwithbaby.org or on www.pregnancy.org.
