David Jakubowski to lead Quigos AdSonar sales and business development efforts as the contextual advertising technology provider prepares to launch enhanced solutions
NEW YORK, NY -- October 30, 2003 -- Quigo Technologies Inc., a leading developer of proprietary search solutions for online contextual advertising, search engine marketing and business intelligence, announces the addition of David Jakubowski to its management team as Senior Vice President. David will be responsible for leading sales and business development activities for Quigos AdSonar contextual ad serving technology.
The addition of a seasoned sales executive like David is an indication that Quigos AdSonar contextual advertising technology is mature and ready for broader market penetration," said Quigo CEO Michael Yavonditte. AdSonar enables online publishers and licensees to serve contextually targeted advertising that achieves greater relevancy, reach and revenue for publishers, licensees and advertisers alike. According to industry estimates, contextual advertising could reach $2 billion within five years. In August, the company announced a licensing agreement with Overture for their AdSonar technology, and expects to announce new licensing agreements in the near future.
Before the end of 2004, Quigo will announce new functionality that will enhance the usability of AdSonar as a complete contextual advertising solution for both online publishers and contextual advertising technology licensees, including ad serving networks and pay-per-click search engines.
David brings strong industry-specific sales and business development experience from United Online, parent company of Juno Online and NetZero, Inc., the leading value-priced Internet access service provider. At United, as Vice President of Business Development, David was responsible for advertising sales, business development and client management. Under Davids leadership, United Online increased both advertising sales and advertising Cost Per Thousand (CPMs) rates in the difficult advertising market of 2001 and 2002.
I left an outstanding, very successful company at United Online to join Quigo because I firmly believe in their technology and market potential," said David Jakubowski, Quigos new Senior Vice President. I am amazed by the relevancy of the ads to the actual content of web pages made possible through Quigos AdSonar technology--you really have to see it to believe it. There isnt a website, search engine or ad server that cant benefit from AdSonar. This technology is the next generation of contextual and online advertising, linking consumers and advertisers based on content and true relevancy."
