American Military personnel in Iraq are watching Santa Barbara church services live over the Internet

Santa Barbara Seventh-day Adventist Churchs live video broadcasts have brought joyful tears to the eyes of American soldiers in Iraq.

Santa Barbara, California (PRWEB) October 30, 2003 --- Chaplain Luis Acosta communicated to Pastor Pete Geli, senior pastor at the Santa Barbara Seventh-day Adventist Church, his pure joy from watching the church's live video broadcast in Iraq.

Since the start of its live Internet broadcasts in June, the Santa Barbara Adventist Church has touched many hearts from all over the US and other countries, including US military personnel.

Pastor Luis Acosta, a reserve chaplain, got a call to serve his country along with his Reserve unit in February.

It was quite a spiritual lift for me to be able to connect to church and see my spouse and friends from thousands of miles away," said Chaplain Acosta.

I get overwhelmed with joy when I hear the positive impact of our broadcasting in peoples lives--from military personnel away from their homes in forward positions, to couples with marital problems, to senior citizens that have been out of touch with their church for years. We are thankful for the new technology that is putting us in touch with people that need us," said Pastor Geli. I have received communications from people all over the world sharing with me how viewing our services has helped them."

Santa Barbara Seventh-day Adventist Church is the first and only church on the central coast of California that broadcasts its worship services live over the Internet. Due to a great response from military personnel, the church dedicated its Saturday, September 20th service to the men and women in the armed forces.

Trivision Solutions Inc. (TSI) is the company that provides the technology for the live broadcasts via the Internet. We are happy to see our technology helping the Santa Barbara Adventist Church to positively impact people lives," said Vince Imani, CEO and President of TSI.

The live video broadcasts can be viewed every Saturday morning beginning at approximately 11:30am to 12:15pm Pacific Time at "http://www.sbsdachurch.com". A recording of these each broadcast is also available at the same web site for later viewing.
