INTELLIUN MAKES EXECUTABLE UML A REALITY WITH THE RELEASE OF VE 4.0 SE BETA

INTELLIUN UNVEILS A COMPREHENSIVE PLATRFORM FOR BUILDING J2EE WEB APPLICATIONS AND SERVICES USING UML VISUAL MODELS. THE TECHNOLOGY IS FREE FOR USE AND INTERNAL DEPLOYMENT

PLANO, TX (PRWEB) October 29, 2003 -- Intelliun Corporation, the leading innovator in simplifying J2EE development, announced the release of version 4.0 Beta of its flagship product, The Virtual Enterprise (VE). Also, the company unveiled a new pricing model.

VE is a platform for the rapid development, integration and deployment of web applications and services. The VE/Designer is an IDE for building fully executable applications using UML models. And, VE/Server is an execution engine that layers on top of any J2EE implementation, like IBM (NYSE:IBM) WebSphere, BEA (Nasdaq: BEAS) WebLogic, Sun ONE (Nasdaq: SUNW) Application Server, JBOSS Application Server, and Apache Tomcat, and provides an instantaneous execution of the UML models.

VE 4.0 achieves a new milestone in the evolution of Software Engineering. As a software engineer with the life-long objective of transforming software development from an art to an engineering discipline, Im very proud of this release", Iyad Jabri, founder and CEO of Intelliun, Were finally bringing object-oriented technology to the masses without the clutter of low-level programming, delivering on the vision of executable UML, and presenting a comprehensive platform for model-driven development of n-tier web services and applications."

The 4.0 release is a major realignment of VE with two main objectives: make it intuitive, and target a wider range of developers. Accordingly, the VE/Designer has been ported to NetBeans and enriched with new features to streamline modeling, debugging, and testing. Also, several alternate implementations (like Java, JavaScript, and SQL) are now offered to express actions and flows, in addition to the default Activity Diagram and VE Action Language. VE 4.0 also revamped its WYSIWYG personalization and web page development tools, building on the same innovative concepts of VE 3, yet making it easier for the novice user and broader for the experienced web developer.

VE Standard Edition (SE) will be available for download on November 11, 2003 completely free for use and internal deployment. Two additional flavors, Professional Edition and Enterprise Edition, will be released in 2004. For more details, visit http://www.intelliun.com.
