EMAIL IS DYING, A LONG LIFE IS PROMISED TO THE NEW FMAIL
Fmail is a new internet mail service. Fmail is the short name for "fuws.org mail account" where "fuws" stands for "Fed Up With Spam". Fmail is better protected against spam than an email.
Fribourg, Switzerland (PRWEB) October 29, 2003. Burningbox Switzerland launched on the 29th October is new fmail service on the site http://fuws.org.
What is fmail?
We all know that the traditional email is suffering from spam. Fmail is the short name for "fuws.org mail account" where "fuws" stands for "Fed Up With Spam". Fmail is better protected against spam than an email.
Why fmail is protected against spam?
A fmail account is not a standard email account (POP3). Your fmail account is a web based service and if somebody wants to write you, he must (i) click on your fmail link (for example: http://fuws.org?test, where test is your name), (ii) answer a question about a picture (automatic spamming software are not able to find the answer), (iii) and then finally he will be able to fill on-line the message form.
Then you will receive mails only from human people but no spam or other kinds of advertisement. Note that you can send message to normal email addresses from your fmail account. You can try the site by writing to the test account: http://fuws.org?test.
What is the price for an account?
With fmail, we are trying to get rid of spam. We also don't want to annoy the users with too many other banners and ads on fuws.org. Therefore the only way to earn money is to ask a fee for the service. This price is 20$/year for an fmail account. For this price you get a storage limit of 20MB.
Other information
For now, the fuws.org service has only simple mail functionalities but a lot of improvements and new services are already planned to be developed for 2004. Burningbox is looking for investors to boost its activities.
New protocol ahead
It is also planned that the company will release in 2004 a protocol set - based on fmail standards - allowing compatible third party solutions to be built.
