CSR Data Networks and CSRwire Team Up to Provide CSR Communications Active Learning Events

Two-part Programs provide CSR teams and Public Relations professionals with the expertise to design and implement effective CSR Communications plans

29 October 2003: LONDON and BRATTLEBORO (PRWEB) October 31, 2003 - The growth of Corporate Social Responsibility as a significant factor in corporate operations has led to a demand for effective communications programs which inform and engage a wide range of stakeholders. While many companies are issuing press releases on their CSR initiatives and a growing number are producing CSR reports, both CSR officers and Communications practitioners are recognizing the need to design integrated, effective CSR Communications programs.

Two events planned for 2004 are designed to provide these professionals with expert guidance and interactive workshop sessions introducing a full toolkit of CSR Communications methods and an understanding of the diverse audiences for the CSR message. The events are planned for London and New Jersey and each includes a two part program:

24-25 February 2004 "How to Implement CSR Communications for Business Results" in London introduces the building blocks of CSR Communications. A follow-up session from 23-24 June 2004 provides participants with a chance to evaluate and adjust plans initiated in the February session as well as addressing several advanced topics.

27-28 April 2004 "Implementing CSR Communications for Business Results" is the US based opening session with the follow-up planned for 14-15 September 2004.

"This series is not a seminar, not a conference, and not a trade show," said Sally Durcan of CSR Data Networks. "Participants will brainstorm and categorise the issues with like minded executives, develop and prioritise response criteria and walk away with a strategic action plan and framework to share with colleagues. We have moved beyond the traditional show-and-tell formats and designed a completely interactive learning environment including multiple workout sessions" led by professional facilitators on all days."

"We work with CSR and PR teams every day who are involved in CSR programs, and are looking for more effective ways to communicate their corporate initiatives," commented Christina O'Connell of CSRwire. "These teams are faced with the challenge of designing communications plans which integrate standard PR tools with new developments such as CSR Reports -- and they need to reach not only traditional media or financial audiences but a full array of stakeholders. We're very pleased to work with CSR Data Networks to offer our colleagues these learning events which will help us all to face this challenge."

A limted number of sponsorship opportunities are still available and confirmed speakers will be announced shortly.

Early-bird discounts are available for registrations before 1 January 2004 for the UK and the US sessions. Discounted fees are available for NGO, Academic, Government and and SME (companies under 10 employees) attendees.
