Montreal, Quebec. HYPERTEC, one of Canada's leading manufacturers and resellers of information technology products and services invested in the development of Business Continuity Disaster Recovery center in 2003 in order to complement its IT offerings for its customers.

First it purchased Nortels building in ville St Laurent, Quebec and changed its vocation from a high technology manufacturing only plant to one dedicated to hosting, manufacturing and disaster recovery services.

According to Mr David Ahdoot, HYPERTECs president, the services are unique as they enable the support of up to 2500 work area positions including warehousing for merchandises and goods in the event a disaster occurs at one of our customers buildings. Naturally we offer the basic capabilities as our most important competitors including a redundant and diversified high speed network, server recovery, continuous operation with 2 on-site diesel generators, hot and cold seat recovery, 24/7/365 operation, project management as our major competitors; however, none of our competitors have in the province of Quebec or Ontario a hosting and disaster recovery center for 2500 work positions with a parking for 2,000 vehicles, a cafeteria for 2500 users, multiple conference and training rooms, and much more. Warehousing provides shipping and receiving while our main center ensures all area of a business can resume when a disaster occurs: Departments such as call centers, sales, marketing, public relations, customer support, administration and finance can all resume instantly if so selected."
