UK modern-rock act 50Hz and tcb Management (Manchester, UK) have tapped Bella Voce to represent the band in the US. This London-based modern rock outfit offers emotionally stirring songs that are powered by the passionate combination of singer Mark Nilsson's Morrisseyesque vocals and the compelling musicianship of Andy Gott (guitars), Wixy (bass), and Rich Royce (drums). The result is a rich and emotionally charged sound that is easily on par with English contemporaries Radiohead, Travis, and Muse while maintaining the indie grit of Hot Hot Heat and the explosive drive of Foo Fighters.
"We're very excited to represent 50Hz in the U.S. territory for recording and publishing opportunities", says Bella Voce chief Wogbe Ofori. "These guys won't get signed just because they have one or two radio-ready singles, but because their sound is developed well enough to make very good albums."
Determined to showcase their well-rounded sound fully to record label and publishing A&R, Bella Voce is taking the unusual step of compiling a 10-song demo entitled "Pardon the Interruption" featuring some of the band's previously release singles, B-sides, and some exclusive unreleased demo tracks. Early buzz is already building around this band, who is hoping to make their first US appearance at SXSW in March 2004.
