Universal Check Cashing MN, makes donation to the children of the Polynesian Village

Roseville, MN (PRWEB) October 30, 2003 -- Universal Check Cashing MN, is partnering with Opportunity Neighborhood Development Corporation (ONDC) to donate 2,500 Glow Sticks to the children of the Polynesian Village apartment community in New Brighton, MN. The children will be sporting the Glow Sticks on the evening of Halloween. The sticks will be a way of identifying the children at night during their Trick-or-Treat activities. Parents of Polynesian Village are encouraged to see Ms. Jessica McDonald, Resident Services Coordinator, who will be handling the distribution of the 2,500 Glow Sticks.

Universal is a community-based, one-stop financial service center located at 2216 County Road D West (Tower Glen Shopping Center) in Roseville, MN. The donation is part of its Community Outreach Initiative (COI). Other services provided by Universal COI include sponsorship of recreation and enrichment classes for both adults and children and free transit service for those U patrons with transportation challenges.

ONDC is a Minnesota 501(c) 3 nonprofit corporation. Its primary activity is to develop, acquire and operate low- and moderate-income housing projects and to facilitate the delivery of social services to residents. ONDC accomplishes this purpose by cultivating alliances between established development and management companies and established community support service providers.
