Box for Blocks Leaves Less of a Mess

(PRWEB) October 31, 2003 --They say that the best inventions are the simplest ones, and nowhere would this be more evident than in the BOX-4-BLOXÔ, a great new storage innovation for keeping the kids' Legosâ tidy, that is now available in the United States.
Every parent would have to agree that Lego is a great product, with the hours of entertainment these colorful plastic blocks provide their children; however, they would just as readily agree that keeping them stored neatly is a major issue. Invented by parents of four kids, Peter and Moira Botherway of New Zealand, the BOX-4-BLOX provides an amazingly simple solution to this everyday family problem.
The BOX-4-BLOX is comprised of four individual plastic trays and a lid and works by utilizing an age-old sorting principle of sifting the blocks through a series of grids. The top yellow tray has a large grid, the blue tray a medium grid, the red tray a small grid with the bottom green tray having a solid base. The blocks are placed in the top tray and the pieces are automatically graded into a tray with similar sized blocks. The large pieces stay in the yellow tray, the medium to large blocks in the blue tray, the small to medium blocks in the red tray and all those tiny hard-to-find pieces end up in the bottom green tray.
The BOX-4-BLOX evolved from one of those classic "light bulb" moments after Moira had just spent over an hour sorting her kids' Legos into some semblance of order, only to find them spread all over the floor again ten minutes later. "I know I may be biased," says Moira, "but it's amazing how effectively it works. We don't end up losing pieces, the kids can easily find the smallest blocks, I no longer have to search through the vacuum cleaner dust bag, and the kids actually seem to enjoy cleaning up their Legos themselves".
