SaniSpam Releases the First Pre-Send Email Spam Checking Software For Every Day Emailers

As Spam volume reaches 60%, every day emails are being mistakenly flagged as spam. SaniSpam is the first software to help keep emails from getting trapped in the spam filters.

New, York, N.Y., October 30, 2003 Have you ever written an important email to one or a group of business associates and assumed it got through, only to find out days or even weeks later that it was never received? You are clearly not alone. Industry experts estimate that up to 17% of legitimate everyday email-based business communications are not being delivered due to the fact they are mistakenly caught in spam filters.

Now, though, Sanispam is releasing new software that alerts emailers to potential Spam filter triggers in emails they are drafting. It then gives them the option to edit it, removing the offending elements before they send it, or send it as is.

The software was developed by Debra Johnson and Jane Tabachnick, a software programmer and an email virtuoso respectively, in reaction to their own frustration and problems caused by being mistakenly tagged as spammers and having their emails blocked.

The first incidence began when an email to Ms. Tabachnicks former employer regarding Cobra coverage got blocked, though she was not notified of the fact. She ended up needing hospitalization and found out that she no longer had medical coverage. After a bit of research, she discovered that the plan administrator never got her email; the content of her email was mistakenly rejected by the companys Spam filter. The words "insurance and "compare rates were enough to flag her email as Spam and block it from reaching the plan administrator.

"What you dont know about Spam can hurt you and get your emails blocked," says SaniSpam co-developer Johnson. "Everyone who sends email is at risk for being flagged a spammer nowadays," Ms. Tabachnick added.

SaniSpam also offers a book entitled, What Every Legitimate Marketer and Emailer Needs To Know About Spam, which is available with the purchase of their software.

Its hard to keep up with the tricks spammers are using to outsmart the filtering software. The volume of Spam is expected to reach 60% of all email by spring of 2004, according to the Gartner Group. Its like a cat and mouse game between spammers, the filter developers and the IT departments, each racing to keep up with and outsmart each one another.

SaniSpam was developed to help the average legitimate emailer so they dont have to keep up with the changing spam filtering rules. The software works with Microsoft Outlook, and is patent pending.
