Saucy Monky gets ready to burn up the airwaves

Flicker" makes it to radio as the indie-pop acts second release from Celebrity Trash"

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

LOS ANGELES (November 3, 2003) -- In preparation for the oncoming holiday season, olivoiL records is releasing a new radio mix of Flicker" as the second single from Celebrity Trash," the debut release from hot indie pop act, Saucy Monky. Timed as a Winter single carrying a Monday, November 3 radio release/add date, the emotionally-charged Flicker" exhibits an incredible diversity and range to the band, which has been praised by the press since Celebrity Trash" was released in March 2003.

Saucy Monkys first single, Dont Wanna Know Your Name," successfully caught the attention of listeners during its run on radio this year, charting top 10 and top 30, and so far the new single has already received a number of early commitments. Helping to fan the flames, the band has continued to gain more visibility in the press, having been recently scored as a Top 10 gig in an issue of Hot Press, Irelands leading consumer music magazine.

Saucy Monkys success to date has been a great experience for everyone involved in the project," says Jason Scott Alexander, VP of A&R and Radio Promotions with olivoiL records. Fans embraced 'Dont Wanna Know Your Name immediately and radio showed incredible support, standing behind the first single for over six months and throughout the bands recent Irish tour. 'Flicker is, in fact, a fan favourite from the album, and is sure to turn even more people on to the Saucy sound. It will surprise a lot of people."

We expect 'Flicker to be a strong contender for holiday airplay," says Alexander. Based on all of the positive feedback we received during the last tour, it seems 'Flicker is well-positioned to be the ballad to beat this season."

The indie pop quartet has been performing together since 2001, and has gained a strong following both in Ireland, the USA and in other countries around the world; fans and critics alike continue to embrace Saucy Monkys distinctive meshing of Irish and American cultures. Front-women Annmarie and Cynthia are returning to Ireland in December to headline with Mark Geary on a brace of acoustic dates.

Celebrity Trash is distributed in Ireland via RMG Distribution, and is available in stores now.
