MURRAY, UT. (PRWEB) October 31, 2003- ITT Technical Institutes in Murray, UT will offer a scholarship to past and present members of the United States military who enroll. The amount of the scholarship represents 10 percent of the students tuition.
The scholarship will be awarded to eligible students who begin their studies in the ITT Technical Institute beginning with the winter quarter starting in December. The scholarship is available to incoming ITT Tech students who currently serve in the military, including the armed forces, national guard, coast guard or the reserves, and to veterans who have received an honorable, medical or general discharge. The programs offered at the ITT Technical Institutes correspond with many military skill specialties involving information technology, computer drafting and design and electronics engineering," added Linzmaier, Many students who come from a military background decide to attend ITT Tech to obtain degrees that can help them build upon the training they received from the military."
Programs offered by the ITT Technical Institutes that can assist students who wish to expand on their military training include: bachelor degree programs in Electronics and Communications Engineering Technology, Information Systems Security, Data Communication Systems Technology, Software Engineering Technology, Digital Entertainment and Game Design and associate degree programs in Computer and Electronics Engineering Technology, Computer Network Systems, Multimedia, Software Applications and Programming, and Computer Drafting and Design. There are also online opportunities at the masters and bachelors level.
The scholarship will not interfere with military benefits available for educational purposes, and it does not apply to family members. The scholarship is applicable to both resident and online programs of study.
