TASMAC Management Review launched

Pune, (PRWEB) November 3, 2003 -- British High Commission launched and uncovered the inaugural edition of the management journal of TASMAC -- The TASMAC Management Review, TMR. He presented the first copy to one of the doyens of management education and renowned educationist Dr. P C Shejwalkar who is also the Chancellor of TASMAC University.

Grandeur and a touché de class marked the ceremony that saw many leading corporate heads of Pune in attendance. Dr. Giri Dua, Chairman and Managing Director, TASMAC invited Mr. John Nance and Dr. Shejwalkar to autograph an elegantly designed commemorative cover of the TMR as a symbolic endorsement to the latest of the many pioneering initiatives in the field of management education that TASMAC has been credited with. Amidst cheer and applause Dr. Shejwalkar cut a cake to mark the occasion.

Speaking at the ceremony Mr. John Nance noted with satisfaction the increasing awareness about the quality of British higher education in India. He specifically noted the commendable role being played by TASMAC in bringing British Management Education to India under the leadership of Dr. Giri Dua. Referring to TASMAC as pioneers and leaders in British Management Education in India Mr. Nance expressed confidence that the TASMAC Management Review would compare with the most respected management journals globally.

 
  • Shejwalkar hailing this pioneering initiative from TASMAC, dwelt on the important role of a management journal towards the cause of addressing issues related to the field. Commenting on the TASMAC Management Review, he noted that the inaugural edition meets the characteristic benchmarking quality standards that TASMAC as an institution has come to be closely associated with over the years, both in India and abroad.

 
  • Giri Dua who had just returned to Pune after attending a very select luncheon reception with His Royal Highness Prince Charles, Prince of Wales at Delhi on an invitation by the British Council said: Conceptualized as a serious management journal, TASMAC Management Review will cover a wide range of management subjects. The primary objective of TASMAC Management Review is to provide practising executives with relevant management tools and information based on recent advances in management theory and research. Additionally, it will plan to foster the general advancement of research, learning, teaching and practice in the management field, and to encourage the extension and unification of management knowledge."

Mr. Ajoy Nair, Dean of Academics at TASMAC University, is the managing editor of TASMAC Management Review that will be published quarterly. The inaugural edition of the TASMAC Management Review presents in-depth insights into areas of management ranging from Strategic Management to Negotiation Skills. The highlight of this edition is a tête-à-tête that two TASMAC toppers had with the CEO of Daimler Chrysler India on leadership thoughts.

From the subsequent edition onwards TASMAC Management Review will include synopsis of those student dissertations from TASMAC who have achieved distinction and find a place on the glorious shelves of the prestigious library of the University of Wales.
