Texas Mothers Use Business to Help Others Afford Adoption
Dallas, TX - November 3, 2003 - Just in time for National Adoption Month (November), A Mothers Charm, a Dallas-based jewelry and gift design company that celebrates moms and advocates for adoption, is offering a new comprehensive fundraising program intended for people involved in child adoption. The fundraisers are available for parents and adoption associated organizations across America.
Fundraisers are designed by the participants and can be run as a home party and/or an online event. Every product available from A Mothers CharmTM (http://motherscharm.com) may be selected as a part of a fundraiser project. Participants receive 20% of the total retail sales they produce.
Adoption costs can range from $13,000 to $50,000 and often alternative financial arrangements must be sought. Approximately 100,000 children are adopted into U.S. families each year (U.S. Statistics from the Census Bureau and Administration of Children and Families). The founders of A Mothers CharmTM, Ruth Ellen Heaton and Kari Hunt, are adoptive moms who know the difficulty involved in gathering the significant amount of cash needed for fees to bring a child home. Parents are left to their own resources to scrimp and save or raise the money to go through the adoption process. Sacrifices must be made to afford it, but it is more than doable. We want to do what we can to help others make it over the hurdles to achieve the wonderful sense of fulfillment we have with our kids." says Mrs. Heaton.
A Mothers CharmTM will be promoting the new fundraising program at the International Adoption Fairs hosted by FRUA in Dallas and the Austin on November 2nd and the 9th respectively.

ABOUT THE COMPANY
A Mothers Charm designs and sells jewelry and gifts specifically for mothers. The company's core business is developing charm jewelry that depicts special moments in a mother's life. The founders are adoptive mothers who met while going through the adoption process with Buckner Orphan Care International (BOCI). Both families adopted sons from the same 12-child group in St. Petersburg, Russia in 2001. The two boys were best of friends having lived together for years, and now live just minutes apart in the USA. Relishing the firsts" and other special moments with their newly expanded families, these career women and new mothers, who have a passion for philanthropy, decided to make another life altering change. They created a business to provide mothers, especially adoptive mothers, a way to capture and converse about some of their precious motherhood moments, and to make a difference in the world around them.
A Mothers CharmTM has become a business that regularly advocates for adoption. The company hosts free seminars with expert speakers to advise on affording adoption in the current economic conditions. A Mothers CharmTM supports orphan care programs around the world. It offers a philanthropy charm line benefiting Shoes for Orphan Souls (http://www.shoesfororphansouls.org) and donates 10% of all its profits to Buckner Orphan Care International to support their humanitarian efforts with orphans in America and abroad..
