ST. LOUIS NATIVE MAKES GRAND ENTRANCE INTO LITERARY ARENA WITH HER SMASHING DEBUT NOVEL

Counting Raindrops through a Stained Glass Window is Cherlyn Michaels smashing debut novel that is now available for purchase at the authors site and at Amazon.com.

St. Louis, MO. November 1, 2003 -- With the divorce rate continuing to skyrocket each year, a growing number of young, professional women are taking longer to tie the knot-and Vanella Morris is no exception. Due to the embittered marriage of her parents, quick marriages and divorces of friends, and depressing marriage statistics, Vanella follows her self-subscribed O-theory: The surest way to ruin a good relationship is to marry the man you love. She believes that living together with the love of her life is a more realistic approach to a long lasting relationship. Journey with her as she comes face to face with her fear of commitment and discovers the real solution to having a long and successful relationship in the new millennium.

Counting Raindrops through a Stained Glass Window is Cherlyn Michaels smashing debut novel that is now available for purchase at the authors site and Amazon.com. I hope that after reading my book readers will feel entertained as well as be able to reflect on the meaning and commitment of marriage today," said Michaels, an Ohio resident. A lot of us today are still waiting to exhale and feeling like weve failed in life when we dont hook some man to marry us right away...then marry quickly only to turn around and get divorced five years later."

Michaels said she was inspired to write the book after observing the changing attitudes about marriage from her friends and fellow female engineering colleagues. She does a dynamic job of bringing the theme, plot and characters to life.

This promising new author is also focused on giving back to her community. A percentage of the proceeds from Counting Raindrops will be donated to organizations that help young, inner-city youths. Michaels and solicited corporations will contribute to the Marshall Faulks Foundation in St. Louis, MO, and Jamel Whites Diamond Kids in her adopted hometown of Cleveland, OH.
