The Compulogic PicoServ miniature web server module is an "Internet engine" designed to be able to provide a browser based interface over the Internet or a LAN in a small space, at low power, at low cost and with little or no design effort.

(PRWEB) November 5, 2003 --Compulogic have recently announced the release of a new miniature web server product. The PicoServ miniature web server module is an "Internet engine" designed to be able to provide a browser based interface over the Internet or a LAN in a small space, at low power, at low cost and with little or no design effort.

The module takes care of all network interfacing and communications protocols, web page and file storage and provides a variety of simple interfaces to the host system or equipment. Dynamic web pages are supported through a simple HTML interface, enabling real time data to be both displayed and/or updated from a standard web browser.

The module Features a fully integrated 10baseT Ethernet interface and both RS232 serial and I2C ports for interfacing with host systems and IO modules. PicoServ supports the following protocols: Ethernet, ARP, IP, ICMP, TCP, UDP, HTTP, TFTP and DHCP. The TCP implementation is socket based and can support 16 simultaneous connections while the inclusion of a DHCP client simplifies module configuration to 'plug and go' when a DHCP server is available.

Measuring only 50mm x 70mm (2" x 2.75") the PicoServ web server is available as an OEM module or can be used as a stand-alone system when housed in an optional tough aluminium enclosure.

In addition, a number of stacking, standard intelligent interface modules are also available which provide 'no development parallel, serial, analogue, and digital I/O interfaces between the server module and the outside world.
