BUTLINS LAUNCHES NEW LOOK WEBSITE

A recent tripling of online revenues at UK holiday favourite Butlins, has led to a comprehensive relaunch of the website to help promote short breaks at its Resorts in Bognor Regis, Minehead and Skegness.
Bookings via the Internet now account for 13 % of the company's sales - and the new site has been carefully designed and structured to encourage this growth further.
(PRWEB) November 5, 2003 --A recent tripling of online revenues at UK holiday favourite Butlins, has led to a comprehensive relaunch of the website to help promote short breaks at its Resorts in Bognor Regis, Minehead and Skegness.
Bookings via the Internet now account for 13 % of the company's sales - and the new site has been carefully designed and structured to encourage this growth further.
According to Ruth Connor, Director of Sales and Marketing: "We are strategically committed to the web and fully expect its importance to multiply in the next few years. Our consumers are now ready for online".
The re-launched website seeks to unlock more revenue by making holiday selection, knowledge of the holiday package and product clearer and payment simpler.
Site structure, navigation and on-page calls to action have all been comprehensively overhauled. Interface design has also been revitalised, to
reflect the new, more contemporary brand image and current offline campaigns.
'We entrusted the thinking and production to Design UK, www.designuk.com', says Connor. 'They have an excellent track record within our parent company Bourne Leisure so we feel confident that the new look site will generate more Internet revenue.'
Butlins has also reinforced its in-house team by the recruitment of Sarah Owen, former online Marketing Manager at EasyJet. Owen will be responsible for all site content and promotion.
According to Connor: 'We are investigating the benefits to our consumers of one-to-one marketing and expect significant upgrades to the user experience by mid next year.'

-Flash movies to portray the brand experience
-Planned customer journeys for offer seekers and casual browsers
-Pinpoint accurate search facilities
-Detailed information about each of Butlins' three holiday Resorts, the entertainment and facilities and venues
