Citrus Controls announces Wireless Reflective Memory support.

Citrus Controls now supports its AmirusMM software reflective memory over 802.11g networks. This allows computer systems to share areas of memory without physical connections.

Las Vegas, Nevada. November 5, 2003 -- Citrus Controls today announced support for its AmirusMM software reflective memory system with the popular 802.11g wireless networking standard. Using readily available COTS hardware, data rates up to 800kBytes/second have been achieved with three-millisecond latency. The design offers full data synchronization between machines and guaranteed memory consistency.

Wireless networks are a challenging environment for our reflective memory product, with their higher noise rates, greater potential for node drop-out, and correlated packet loss " said Dr. Tony Cox, Citrus Controls president. Our multicast transmission/multiple caching algorithms ensure no data gets lost, even when the network becomes noisy. With AmirusMM, we have a convenient, consistent, reflective memory solution for distributed wireless applications."

AmirusMM is licensed for new users at $600 per node, which includes comprehensive network management, diagnostic and test utilities, and interfaces for MATLAB and Visual Basic .NET. An optional hardware bridge license is available to enable integration with existing hardware reflective memory systems for an additional $200.
