It was the end of my business trip and my last interview of the day. I was very tired and wanted to blow it off to catch a early flight home, but decided to go, yet make it very brief. As I approached the entry of Club Tan Headquarters in Scottsdale, Arizona I noticed a blurb on the door, that said "If you have C.O.R.P.O.R.A.T.E. spelled anywhere in your franchise intentions, than we are not for you......As I entered I suddenly felt a warm inviting, yet innovative feel that I honestly have never felt before when entering a Franchise of any sort. The Franchisor Nick Nikias of whom my interview was with, was chasing his two childern around the office and introduced himself to me. He then asked if I could hold his baby for a moment, while he takes care of an emergency. As I relaxed with his two year old Anthony on the sofa watching Barney, I looked around the working salon/Headquarters and was amazed of the energy produced from the employess and clients and how the family atmosphere was so comfortable and warm. Most people are looking for that type of warmth and comfort when they purchase a franchise. It comes naturally to everyone at Club Tan, from Franchisor Nick Nikias, to all Club Tan Franchisee's, Club Tan clients, his wife Amy who I sat and had a glass of wine with. By the end of the interview, I wanted to own my own Club Tan and I don't even tan. In conclusion, Club Tan's purchasing power is amazing, the investment is minimal for the product produced and in their first Franchise year, they sold 23 franchise's. No advertising, no promotions, no high pressure, just by being them! Club Tan, a major asset to all franchises in hopes they will get a little less stuffy....
