Fort Lauderdale, Florida  November 5, 2003  Nautical & Tropical decors are gaining in popularity whether you live on or off the water. Decorating with either of these themes adds a more serene atmosphere, almost like the feeling you get when youÂre on vacation. Manufacturers like Carol Parrott International, Inc. continue to design products that are nautically decorative. ÂOur products not only bring visual enjoyment to our customers, but they are useful tooÂ, explained Carol, owner and designer.
Their latest achievement is the design of a Half-Hull Boat Transom Mailbox. ÂLike all of our products, itÂs made from hand-laid fiberglass with a shiny gelcoat finish. In addition to designing a stylish mailbox for our customers, we also wanted to keep the mail dry, so we added a drainage track inside.Â
Another attribute of this new mailbox is it can be personalized. ÂWe thought it would be fun if our customers had their name or street numbers on it. So we add them to the transom, just like lettering a name on your boat. Some even request we add their hailing port tooÂ, says Carol.
Carol started designing and manufacturing Half-Hull Boat Window Box Planters last year and this year expanded to include Nautical Mailboxes. ÂThe primary market for our products are homes and businesses, but they can also be used in the décor on yachts. Our customers find the quality is superior and our products have a unique nautical design they wonÂt see anywhere else.Â
