Badtipper.com Stakes Claim As Leading Online Magazine for the Service Industry

Badtipper.com is the online magazine and forum for restaurant workers, cab drivers, hairdressers, delivery persons and bellhops to learn, laugh, joke and vent about the serving industry. The site allows service professionals to poke fun at their customers, share celebrity stories and tell shameful tales of tainted drinks, spilled food, and drunken customers to people across the globe.

Badtipper.com, (www.badtipper.com) launched only eight months ago, is the leading online magazine for the Service Industry. The site has received acknowledgement as Cool Site of the Day" by Askmen.com, which garners 3 times the traffic of Maximmag.com.

A mission of Badtipper.com is to support those who have served others. Badtipper.com has profiles and interviews of actors, comedians, artists and even lawyers who paid their dues serving before making it big. We have a community of service industry staff who need to support each other and realize how hardworking the people who serve really are," says Dan Antonelli, creator of Badtipper.com.

The site features Top Ten Lists, such as The Top Ten Ways You Know You Are a Bad Tipper" or The Top Ten Ways You Know You Are Going to Get a Bad Tip", to entertain and charm servers and readers alike. Badtipper.com holds contests, most recently a poetry contest for cab drivers, offering cash rewards and notoriety and acknowledges patrons as the Big Tipper of the Month".

The newest feature, Ask Honey," is an advice column written by Honey Johnson, a 20-year veteran of the service industry. The feisty columnist passes along sharp wit and glib enthusiasm to counsel confused, harassed and often underpaid wait staff. Honey is knowledgeable, honest and she tells it like it is," says Antonelli, Were very lucky to have her as a guest columnist."

Badtipper.com also offers celebrity stories that have been submitted from real service professionals. Celebrities, like Michael Jordan and Britney Spears, can now be exposed for leaving a bad tip...or leaving a small fortune. Service professionals from across the country compare notes on who tips well and who leaves little, if any, compensation for the giant bill, VIP service, and free extras provided by the wait staff. The scale of what Badtipper.com could become is awesome. Think about it, every time a celebrity goes out to eat, there will be a story to reveal and Badtipper.com is where to do just that," says Antonelli.

Even non-service staff gets a chance to see behind the scenes of a working restaurant, not unlike the reality TV program, The Restaurant". The site displays industry tipping averages for various service professions, top picks of where to eat, weekly polls, merchandise and even gift ideas for those in the service industry.

Badtipper.com gets submissions from people all over the world and as AskMen.com said, From reading stories to playing games to entering contests, there's tons of things to do here."

Over one-third of the country has worked in the service industry," said Antonelli. Now they have a place to revisit that lifestyle without worrying about tips."
