On Super Sunday, December 7th, Make Time To Answer the Call
Smart Giving in Serious Times is Theme of Super Sunday
West Hartford, Conn. -- November 7, 2003 -- Smart Giving in Serious Times is the theme for this years Jewish Federation of Greater Hartfords Super Sunday.
The event will be held on Sunday, Dec. 7 to raise funds for its 2004 Annual Campaign, which supports 34 local agencies and services in the Greater Hartford community. A portion also supports programs that save and enhance thousands of Jewish lives in Israel and in 60 countries around the world.
Volunteers are needed for Super Sunday at the following times: Sunday, Dec. 7 from 9:30 a.m. -- 11:30 a.m.; 11:00 a.m. -- 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. -- 6:00 p.m. at the Greater Hartford Jewish Community Center in West Hartford.
Volunteers are also needed during Super Week from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday Dec. 9; Wednesday, Dec. 10; and Thursday, Dec. 11th.
The Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford is also looking for the support of individuals, local businesses and/or corporations willing to sponsor a phone during Super Sunday/Super Week.
Super Sunday is the largest community wide Jewish fundraising event in the Greater Hartford area, reaching more than 1,000 households, and the operation of phones represents the largest single expense for this fundraiser.
