In addition to the newest wound publications, Guideline for Prevention and Management of Pressure Ulcers (2003) and Guideline for Management of Wounds in Patients with Lower-Extremity Arterial Disease (2002), the online store offers resources related to ostomy, continence, professional practice, and continuing education. These products will enhance any healthcare professionals career. They reflect the WOCN commitment to cost-effective, outcome-based, appropriate healthcare solutions. Founded in 1968, the Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurses Society (WOCN) is the only national organization for nurses who specialize in the prevention of pressure ulcers and the management, education and rehabilitation of persons with wounds, ostomies, and continence disorders. WOCN is a clinician-based professional nursing society that supports its more than 3,900 members by promoting educational, clinical, and research opportunities to advance the practice and guide the delivery of expert healthcare to individuals with wound, ostomies, and continence disorders. It sponsors an annual conference and publishes the Journal of WOCN, a bimonthly peer-reviewed, medical journal. WOCN is headquartered in Glenview, IL.
