Trombone Online says, "a modern day collectable that no serious brass musician should be without."
The electronic edition 4.0 on CD-ROM of Pioneers in Brass by the late Glenn D. Bridges brings back into print and sound, one of the most cited reference works of biography on brass personnel of the late 19th and early 20th century bandsmen. We have included additional materials and materials that may not be in every 1972 edition (an edition that was self-published and continually in process and updated.) The work includes a section on women brass players as well as low brass not in all earlier editions. Pioneers in Brass, 4th edition, makes a great gift/premium, award, fundraiser, or memento for brass musicians, and is now retailing at $21.95, making it a more affordable reference work.
Music and history teachers will find its ability to print photos and articles useful for classroom use and broadsides. And the search program allows for finding names, dates and such easy for a book that had no index.
