Southern Rain Poetry South African Poetry
Southern Rain Poetry brings you poetry by almost 30 South African poets, containing over 400 poems for you to read. The site contains previously published material as well as poems that have never been published before. And it has more. Welcome to Southern Rain Poetry. We hope you enjoy the poetry on this site. I would like to thank all participating poets to-date for their work and support. Without them this site would not be possible. Southern Rain Poetry will continue to grow, adding poets, poetry, links, news and new publications on a regular basis. I especially thank Robert Berold, Kobus Moolman, Professor Dennis Brutus and Allan Horwitz for their help, encouragement, time and advice.
(PRWEB) November 11, 2003 -- The site also contains a Literary Links page which is still growing thanks to your contributions. It contains poetry, biographies, bibliographies and more information.
We hope you enjoy the poetry on this site. This site does not pretend to contain a complete overview of contemporary SA poetry. However, we believe it to be a quality cross section thereof.
Participating poets are given an opportunity to add/change their work on a regular basis. It is also an opportunity for the poets to advertise their websites, books, magazines, Journals.
The editor is not responsible for the contents of sites on the links page.
Please note that this is not and e-zine and no unsolicited material will be accepted.
'Southern Rain Poetry' will continue to grow, adding poets, poetry, links, news and new publications on a regular basis. That is a good reason to come back to this site. Our site has also been added to the links page of Poetry International (SA). A sign that we are heading into the right direction. In our first year we had 3000+ visitors from over 80 countries!
If this is your first visit to Southern Rain Poetry then we would like to welcome you and hope that you will enjoy the poetry. And to our 'regular customers' I would like to say thank you for your encouragement and interest in South African poetry.
Rest in Peace, Sam Motaung.
