INDIE FASHION AWARDS HONORS JEWELRY DESIGNER CINDY AHLSTRÖM WITH THREE NOMINATIONS

The Independent Fashion Awards announced its nominations in New York City, and Ahlström Designs' President and Designer, Cindy Ahlström, received three nominations for her debut fall/winter 2003 collection.

The Independent Fashion Awards announced its nominations in New York City, and Ahlström Designs' President and Designer, Cindy Ahlström, received three nominations for her debut fall/winter 2003 collection. She is nominated for Best Indie New Emerging Designer (In business less than two years), Best Indie Accessory Women's Design (jewelry), and Best Indie Designer of The Year. This is the 2nd Annual Indie Fashion Awards, and the show will be held on November 29, 2003, at the Fashion Industries Theatre at 225 West 24th Street, in New York City.

The nominations come on the heels of Ms. Ahlström's win of the Profile Award for Best Accessories at the Industry 212 Show at the Jacob Javitz Center September 29-October 1, 2003. The Industry 212 Show, an affiliate of MAGIC International, is recognized as an industry trend-setting show highlighting accessories, which is the fastest-growing segment in the fashion marketplace.

Ms. Ahlström's jewelry and accessory designs are couture-fashion inspired and have attracted the attention of not only her peers in the industry, retailers and consumers, but Hollywood and celebrities. Her creations can be seen on many popular Hollywood figures as well as purchased in stores across the country. "I feel very blessed to have my jewelry so widely accepted by so many. This is an artist's dream come true," said Cindy Ahlström.
