Growth Strategies Inc Increases the Prospects of a Small Minority Owned Businesses' Success. Terms have been set for a private investment group to infuse needed capital into Bermuda Transport Services, Inc.
Bermuda Transport Services, Inc., one of only two minority owned Ambulette Services on Long Island was close to shutting it doors. Unable to secure needed capital from banks or non-bank lenders, this five year old, family owned and operated business has found its way. With the help of Lorette Farris and Louis Eustache of Growth Strategies, Bermuda Transport is now well positioned to continue servicing its community while growing a healthy and prosperous future for its owners and employees.
Bermuda specializes in transporting the physically challenged with door-to-door services for medical appointments, shopping, recreation and miscellaneous errands throughout Nassau and Suffolk County's. Their ambulettes are equipped with hydraulic lifts capable of transporting wheelchair patients along with walk on adult patients.
It's proprietors Kenneth and Moira Bean know all too well the struggles of the physically challenged. Within a year after beginning its operations in 1998, Mr. Bean had his first open heart surgery, followed by numerous procedures since then. These challenges increased their desire to ensure longevity for Bermuda Transport, a service organization that personifies a reputation for "Commitment - Compassion - and Care".
While this elderly couple found themselves locked out of the traditional and non-traditional "access to capital" avenues by banks and non-bank lenders alike, they refused to give up. In September 2002 they contracted with Lorette Farris, then President of Developing Stages, a business development consulting firm. "We pursued numerous lenders and investors. With each "no" I understood that we were getting closer to a "yes"." With the help of Louis Eustache, CPA and Farris' partner at Growth Strategies, Bermuda appears to be well postioned to receive not only the capital but continued expertise to grow the business to new heights.
