COCOAMILL CHOCOLATE WINS PRESTIGIOUS SCOVIE AWARD

CocoaMill Chocolate of Lexington,Va wins First Place SCOVIE AWARD at annual Fiery Foods convention in Albuquerque,NM.

Lexington,Virginia (PRWEB) November 11, 2003 -- Cocoamill Chocolate was awarded a first place Scovie Award in the judging at the 16th annual Fiery Foods culinary contest last week in Albuquerque, N.M. This coveted award is based on the judgment of dozens of culinary judges from around the country. The award is used to honor and single out the best of the entrants for recognition. Generally the winners are those who have a strong spicy or southwestern flavor that set them apart from a large number of competitors.

We are pretty deliberate about everything we do at CocoaMill Chocolate. From our ingredients, to production and even shipping we try to run the highest quality operation". stated Bob Aimone the owner and manager. In 2001 CocoaMill Chocolate won the Best Overall Chocolate in a blind Valentines Day catalog shopping contest featured in the Catalog Critics column featured in the Wall Street Journal. Cocoamill Chocolate beat out Godiva, Sees, and Harry and Davids for these bragging rights-not an easy thing to do. Competition for the Scovie Awards is even fiercer due to the focus of the competitors and the professional backgrounds of the judges.

The chocolate bar that we submitted is a brand new product that we have just developed for a niche` market called Holy Mole`. There are two other bars --Holy Smoke and Tsunami- in this line. All three are high quality items distinctly flavored to specific ethnic tastes.

Since winning the Wall Street Journal award we have increased our Internet sales dramatically and landed a number of high profile corporate gourmet projects. The niche` we are currently test marketing these bars are high-end Chinese, Japanese and Mexican restaurants. Our plan is to raise the bar with respect to chocolate confections and corporate marketing. Currently we are signing up exclusive distributors and protected territories for certain restaurants and chains. We expect to have a full product launch of our new line just after the Valentines Day rush next year. Currently these bars are available in very limited test market numbers. The official launch date is late March 2004 and we will be following up on all interested distributor leads just prior to that launch but not until after Valentines Day." Explained Mr. Aimone.

CocoaMill Chocolate is primarily a national Internet Gourmet Chocolate company. Started in 1993 and located in Lexington,Va they take pride in their national reputation, ingredient integrity and product. Their owner Bob Aimone quipped After all it took us a little more than 10 years to become an overnight success. Its not an accident but a focus on daily improvement, best practices management and intense training. We are currently looking to partner with distributors on several product lines. The Holy Mole` launch will be phase one of our new marketing/distribution plan. For more information contact CocoaMill Chocolate on the website at www.cocoamill.com or 1-800-421-6220.
