Most websites that we visit these days have more ads than useful content. It's not just banner ads we are talking about, but popup and flash ads too. Our latest software, Browsy, which has won as many as 9 awards till now, not only blocks these ads for you, but also show you how many it has blocked.

Browsy was born out of a need. A need to be able to browse the web the way we want.

We were tired of seeing pop-up and pop-under windows every time we visited a few sites (No, not those sites, honest! Sites like those about news, railway enquiry, humour, etc). We were tired of having to download huge banner-ads upon banner-ads and then looking at flashy animations that distract from the main content. We were tired of websites tracking our browsing habits and trying to infringe on our privacy. We decided enough was enough and we must now do something about it.

Being a software company, we decided to come out with our own solution, and came up with the idea of Browsy.

Browsy brings convenience to you while browsing the web. It saves you from annoyances and distractions that websites try to send your way. It protects you from websites trying to snoop in your computer and learn about your habits and infringing on your privacy. It prevents you from seeing content from websites you don't like. It doesn't let websites eat up your bandwidth while you wait for the banner ads to load. It doesn't restrict you to just one particular browser.

Browsy has initially been released as a trialware. This means that you can try it out for free for a maximum period of 30 days. After you have used it for 30 days, you must pay for it if you like it and wish to continue using it. However, there is absolutely no obligation to pay anything if you don't want to use it beyond the 30-day trial period. The base price of this version of Browsy is US $29.95.

Browsy can run on Windows 98, 98SE, Me, NT4, 2000 and XP, with Internet Explorer 4 or later installed, though it works with all the browsers that support the use of a proxy. Internet Explorer 4 or later is only required to make use of a functionality provided by Windows. There is no plan at the moment to port it to other operating systems. At this moment Browsy is only available for individual users, which means that only the person running Browsy on his/her computer will be able to use it. It's not possible for one person to run Browsy on his/her computer and others to use it by using this computer as their HTTP. Companies can buy it for their employees and take advantage of our volume discounts. An enterprise version of Browsy will soon be released too.

Once you buy Browsy, you will be entitled to one year of free updates. This includes all major and minor updates that we are going to release in the initial one year of your using Browsy. If you decide to evaluate Browsy first, you will also get free updates, but only during your trial period - unless you purchase Browsy after evaluating it. But during the evaluation, if there are any updates available, you will have to download them directly from the website. The check for update function will not be available.
