New author/speaker/singer/gives readers keys to changing the course of their lives.
Yolande Sims is a Professional Counselor and speaker who has authored a new self-help, inspirational book to help those who have gone through traumatic experiences re-examine their lives and persevere to "The Next Level."
The book is helpful to anyone who is tired of doing the same old things, the same old way, and getting no where.
Mobile, AL. (PRWEB) November 14, 2003 - Native Mobilian, Yolande Sims, is truly a woman of the new millenium. She believes that there is a wealth of untouched talent in each of us, and it just needs to be brought forth; that everyone has a purpose for being here. Sims states that there are too many well-meaning individuals who are sabotaging themselves everyday, and then wondering why they haven't gotten any further in life.
She has authored a new self-help, inspirational book entitled, "The Next Level" in order to address this problem. The Next Level was released in September, 2003 by Brentwood Christian Press. Sims states that after Brentwood reviewed her manuscript, she was placed on their "Best of The Best" list.
Sims' book not only inspires, but offers practical solutions. The book includes real-life experiences, and covers a wide range of topics including stress management tips, the most common reasons people give for not changing, what to look for before you get married, how to let go of emotional baggage, journal writing exercises, and several self-assessment tools. Those who have read the book are saying things like, "I laughed and I cried."
Sims' website gives readers a brief synopsis of the book, her biography, and there is a section for readers to send questions and comments to "Dear Lande." The book is also available at USA Bookstore, and Black Classic Books. Plans are underway to reach the mass market.
Sims is a Master's level counselor with a Professional Counseling License. She continues to play a very active role at New Beginnings Church where she is an Elder, and she is active in her community. This month, Sims and a colleague will be speaking to the Creighton Optimist Club regarding various counseling issues.
