MADISON, ALA. -- (November 11, 2003) After extremely high demand for enrollment in the marine industry's only Ignition School, CDI Electronics announces it may add a third 40-hour training session for technicians in March 2004.
The first successful CDI Electronics Ignition School was held at the company's Madison, Alabama manufacturing facility in late October. The second session is scheduled for Dec. 3-6 and classes are already filled.
Marine technicians from 11 states and Australia completed the first hands-on courses and obtained both Certificates for Technical Achievement and shirt patches verifying their outboard electronic ignition training.
"Word spread quickly about how great these classes are and we are now considering a third school to keep up with demand," said Ray Anders, President, CDI Electronics. "Next season, our tentative schedule for the Ignition School will be mid-October and early December as well."
CDI Electronics found a need for specialized training in today's state-of-the-art ignition products and in keeping with its commitment to continuing education for technicians decided to develop this school, according to Anders.
CDI Electronics, the new product division of Rapair, Inc., has been the leader in marine ignition technology for more than 20 years. For more information on attending the Ignition School, please visit our website at http://www.rapair.com or call (800) 467-0982.
