Author of "Groundbreaking" Book on Making Big Life Decisions Will Give Fall-Winter Classes Through the Learning Annex

Jeffrey Makoff, Esq., co author of Get Off The Fence! 10+1 Steps to Help You Make That Big Decision" will give Fall-Winter classes at the San Francisco Learning Annex on making major personal and business decisions.

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) November 13, 2003 -- Attorney-author Jeffrey Makoff, Esq., announced today that he will present monthly classes through the San Francisco Learning Annex on the subject of making major personal and business decisions. The classes are designed for people of all ages and education levels who want to dramatically improve their decision-making skills. The single-evening classes will be held on November 19 2003, December 17 2003 and January 19 2004. The classes start at 6:45 p.m. and end at 9:30 p.m. Online registration is available at www.learningannex.org.

Topics to be covered include techniques to break down decision-making barriers, the benefits and drawbacks of procrastination, the role of emotion and intuition in making life choices, common problems in timing certain types of decisions (relationship, parenting and career) and how to develop better long-term decision making habits.

Mr. Makoffs non-fiction book "Get Off The Fence!" was released nationally by publisher Health Communications, Inc. (ISBN 0757300510) on May 1, 2003. In the book, mother-son authors Rhoda Makoff, Ph.D. and Jeffrey Makoff, Esq. set forth 10 principles for making decisions on major life issues - "plus one", which is how intuition plays into a decision. Each principle is illustrated by a fascinating, intimate story about a tough decision made by a real person.

The Decision Education Foundation, a California-based non-profit organization dedicated to improving decision-making skills in society, recently commended the authors and publisher on "Get Off The Fence!" The Foundations Executive Director, David Reiter, said "A mass market book on decision-making is long overdue. For decades, decision-making has been taught in business schools - but the subject is largely ignored for everyone else. 'Get Off The Fence!' is an engaging, accessible and informative work that will improve people's choices. The authors' use of the most difficult real-life decisions - handling spousal abuse, marriage dilemmas, end-of-life decisions for a loved one, substance abuse interventions, finding a birth parent, donating a vital organ, coming out as gay - shows there's a method to approaching the biggest and most emotion-laden life choices. The book is a groundbreaking step toward improved decision-making on key life issues, which we hope will lead to more discussion and better education on both personal and business decision-making in our society."

The trade paperback book lists at $12.95. The publisher, Health Communications, Inc., is best known as publishers of life issues books, including the extremely popular "Chicken Soup for the Soul" series. More information about Get Off the Fence and contact/event information is available on the book Web site (www.decisionmakingbook.com).
