Atlassian introduces JIRA 2.5 - vast enhancements to its issue management application

SYDNEY, Australia, 12th November 2003 -- Atlassian Software Systems, the small and innovative Australian software company providing enterprise software solutions to the worlds leading organisations, today released JIRA 2.5, the latest version of its flagship web-based, issue tracking and project management application.

SYDNEY, Australia (PRWEB) November 13, 2003 -- Atlassian Software Systems, the small and innovative Australian software company providing enterprise software solutions to the worlds leading organisations, today released JIRA 2.5, the latest version of its flagship web-based, issue tracking and project management application.

JIRA 2.5 extends ease of use with greater convenience, logic and efficiency across the application with an array of customer driven improvements. These include the ability to internationalise the product into new languages, customise field management, edit issues in bulk and group projects into specific categories.

Mike Cannon-Brookes, Atlassian Director said, This is biggest release of JIRA to date and feedback in beta testing has been extremely positive. One key priority for us is providing legendary service to our customers. Out of this comes an ongoing dialog with our community about changes and enhancements they want to see in the product. This new JIRA release is as customer driven as ever.

Averaging around six new releases of JIRA every year, we fervently believe in up front, fair and liberal licensing for our software. As always, all commercial licenses include the full source and 12 months of free upgrades, so a license is essentially future-proof."
