Donita Rose Attached to Star in World War II Epic

Actress, MTV VJ, and TIME Asia cover girl Donita Rose has been tapped to star in "Seed of Contention," a World War II epic written by Ana Marie Laperal and produced by Los Angeles-based Leaudouce Films. Shooting on the film is expected to start autumn 2004, with general theatrical release slated for 2005.

LOS ANGELES (PRWEB) November 14, 2003 - Actress and MTV Asia VJ Donita Rose, 28, has been added to the cast of "Seed of Contention," a Leaudouce Films production currently in the packaging stage.

Rose will play Emma, a Spanish-Filipino woman caught in the harrowing travails of World War II Manila. The film was written and is being produced by Ana Marie Laperal, 26, an award-winning writer from Los Angeles.

Inspired by a true story, "Seed of Contention" recounts the journey of an American G.I. in World War II Manila who escapes prison camp to return to his Spanish-Filipino wife, only to face another form of imprisonment under house arrest by a Japanese soldier.

Shooting on the film is expected to commence spring 2005 in the Philippines, and is scheduled for general theatrical release in the United States and foreign territories in 2005.

Actress Rose is managed by Angeli Valenciano of Manila Genesis Entertainment. Writer-director Laperal is represented by Ryan Saul of Metropolitan Talent Agency in Los Angeles.
