Announcing MarketingPilot R6
Powerful new features for corporate media buyers raises the bar in media buying software
Today we're announcing MarketingPilot R6. R6 adds many new features designed to help corporate media buyers. We think R6 raises the bar in media buying software.
Background
MarketingPilot already incorporates many functions for media buying. In fact, MarketingPilot R4 was voted Best Media Planning Technology/Product Finalist by ClickZ. Our customers and prospects have been pressing us for. Our market research also indicated that media buying systems designed for corporate media buyers are lacking.
We believe that the high level of interest in media buying systems stems from the fact that more and more corporations are buying media in-house (instead of through an agency) to improve results and cut costs.
How MarketingPilot R6 is Different
1. MarketingPilot's media buying functions are designed for corporate media buyers not advertising agencies. Each group has distinctly different needs. For example, agencies need to markup and charge for the media they purchase.
2. MarketingPilot uses the latest software technologies to be run in-house. Other media buying systems are available as a service (using an ASP (application service provider), or use antiquated technologies such as FoxPro. MarketingPilot is faster and easier to use than the systems designed for agencies.
3. MarketingPilot R6 provides integrated media buying features for all media types, including display advertising, direct marketing, online, insert media, outdoor, radio, and tv. There is no transferring information into/out of modules or to/from other programs, and there is no rekeying of information.
4. MarketingPilot's media buying functions are fully integrated. Other media buying systems are stand-alone, lacking campaign management, brand management, and digital asset management functions. Go from research, to plan, to order, to flowchart, to results, to reconciliation with just a few clicks. All the information is always at the users fingertips. Media costs are integrated with other marketing expenses.
5. MarketingPilot R6 generates media calendars and flowcharts with one click! Users can save innumerable hours currently spent updating media calendars and flowcharts. MarketingPilot generates them automatically; and updates them in real-time.
6. MarketingPilot Standard Edition is designed for single users at small organizations who buy media as part of their jobs, while MarketingPilot Enterprise Edition is designed for large multi-person media buying teams. Again, each group has distinct needs.
7. Cost. MarketingPilot is more affordable.
In development since March, MarketingPilot R6 is scheduled for release in early 2004.
